Sarah released her first solo EP in 2017, she released her debut album Interlude September 13, 2019 and released her latest new music project The Nashville Songwriter Sessions, November 18, 2022. Aside from having had several residencies, notably, she played her first festival this past spring, was selected to be the first Music Collective member on Twitch, rocked the Twitchcon stage with her friends October 2022, and is part of the street performing program at Universal City Walk, where she had her first official music video "Home" playing in rotation featuring guitar gear from her endorsement, Luna Guitars. She also is endorsed by Empire Ears and Cleartone strings. Just three years after pursuing music professionally, she played at M&K's distributor: Audio gear's sound booth at NAMM 2108 in Anaheim, CA, performed with full band on the City Walk stage of summer 2018, and performed on the MAINSTAGE at NAMM 2019. When she's not in her home town, she is being called to gigs across America where people truly connect with her honest approach to song writing and entertainment. Sarah is constantly collaborating with the new crop of superstars as well as established artists.
From street performing also known as "busking" to playing venue gigs, private parties, festivals, working with charities, writing original music, licensing music, and even tackling the radio, Sarah Lightman independently does it all. She is constantly adapting, learning, and evolving her original music.
You can assume she's definitely not the type of artist to settle. "I experienced a lot of trauma in childhood that challenged my mental health. After I started to work through my own anxiety and problems that had mutated from my experiences, I had this deep feeling that I needed to share my journey with others. My mission is to uplift people, through the medium of music. When playing live, my hope is that the audience will leave in a different and better headspace." - Sarah Lightman
Sarah's voice has been compared to Corinne Bailey Rae, Sara Bareilles, Amy Winehouse, Colbie Caillat, Adele, and Emily King to name a few. Her sound and music has a soulful, pop, and honest sound. Sarah's songs are available on Spotify, Apple Music, and all other major music platforms.
